So, anyone who knows where that quote is from, gets a cookie. A virtual cookie that is.
So, I thought I would tell you a little bit more about me before I delve into the stories.
I love music. All music. I listen to it all day long, and have been to many concerts. One of my favorite places to be is at a concert during the summer with my friends, or my dad, just enjoying the music, and the time we spend together.
Bands I love: Dave Matthews Band, Billy Joel, Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Coldplay, Jason Mraz, Foo Fighters, Incubus, Jack Johnson, James Taylor, Fleetwood Mac, Aerosmith, The Allman Brothers, The Beatles...I could go on forever. I generally listen to everything, except for death metal. Not too into that.
I love the water. I live 5 minutes from the water, and spent most of my childhood on a boat. Actually, I still spend a lot of time on a boat. Any form of water activity, I am up for. I am a beach bum. I am happiest during the summer, laying on the beach, good book in hand, headphones on.
I love photography. I take too many pictures according to most people, but I can never have enough. I especially love black & white photography. I wish I had my own darkroom.
I love New York City. The fast pace, the diversity, the millions of people, the crazyness that ensuses there. When I walk up onto the street from the subway, I feel like I can finally breathe. An overwhelming calmness comes over me, inspite of how busy and alive the city around me is.
I don't eat anything thats green, except for apples & grapes. I hate vegetables, seafood, spicy food, anything with a thick sauce, and generally, most foods.
I love pizza, deli, bagels, italian food, bread, peanut buter & jelly, almost anything my Aunt Kim makes, and desserts in all shapes and forms.
I love to bake. One day, I will own a bakery with Devin. That is our ultimate dream.
Perfect Friday night? Spent with my friends, all together, having fun. Generally this occurs either in my kitchen, in my backyard around a bonfire eating s'mores during the summer, or at the bar, drinking and dancing all night. I love to dance. People don't dance enough in my opinion.
I love to read. I can spend hours at the library or at Barnes & Noble. I read mostly anything - fiction or non fiction. I can get lost in a book for hours, and generally read from beginning to end without stopping.
I love children. They have such a wonderful innocence about them that makes you see the world differently.
Well, I think that's enough for now. Hope you enjoyed!

"and everywhere she goes, a million dreams of love surround her, everywhere"
Welcome!
I'm Kate. 21 years old, turning 22 in 25 days. A born and bred New Yorker, who never wishes to live anywhere else. I live in a small town on Long Island, about 40 miles west of Manhattan. My little town is located on the North Shore of the island, and to me, it's perfect.
I have 4 best friends. Tom, Devin, Theresa, and Elena. To me they are not only my friends, but are my family. Year after year, they are my saving graces, and I would be lost without them.
I am currently studying abroad in a small town on the southwestern coast of Ireland. It is gorgeous here. It is also about as opposite as you can get from New York. I am here for another 39 days, and then I will be back home, to everything I have known for my 21 years on this earth.
I hope to fill this blog with the stories of my life. Life in New York, life in Dingle, life in general. I also plan on using this blog as a way to allow all of you into my head - don't worry, i'm just as scared as you are.
